Clubhouse Programs

While this is not an exhaustive list of all Clubhouse tasks, we have prepared a general overview of responsibilities.

Each Unit independently performs reachout to absent members daily.

Work-Ordered Day

  • Club Fellowship operates during a “Work-Ordered Day.”  This means that Club Fellowship is open at least five days a week from 8:30am thru 5:00pm for the members and staff.
  • All Clubhouse meetings are open to both members and staff. There are no formal member only meetings or formal staff only meetings where program decisions and member issues are discussed.
  • Members have the opportunity to participate in all the work of the Clubhouse via work Units.
  • Tasks in the Clubhouse are organized through the use of a whiteboard, Unit Meetings, and what is referred to as a “Needs List.”

Member Services

The Member Services Unit is primarily focused on the clerical duties required to manage the Work-Ordered Day. Member Services functions as a record keeper of Clubhouse activities, publishes a monthly newsletter composed by the general membership, and is responsible for front desk reception and lobby area of the building. Member services follows up on any reach out efforts that might require ongoing supports and effort. The Membership Unit is also responsible for the operations of the Clubhouse Cafe. Members with no previous experience with computers can develop basic typing skills, learn to access Internet resources, and work with the Microsoft Office suite of applications.

Hospitality Services

While each Unit is responsible for keeping their work area clean, the Hospitality Services Unit manages janitorial services and general upkeep for the Clubhouse facility. Hospitality Services also focuses a large amount of effort on ensuring the Clubhouse kitchen adheres to health and safety policies and requirements. Hospitality services is additionally responsible for two House meal services per day: breakfast and lunch.

Hospitality Services is also comprised of our new Communications room and Employment Services. This is where content for our social media, website, calendars, newsletters, videos, and in-House videos is created.
